Job Responsibilities An ability to work independently and make professional autonomous decisions for which they are accountable, within their scope of practice To assess, diagnose and manage womens health problems, including menopause To assess, treat and manage undifferental Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Order and follow-up on necessary investigations; providing treatment and care both individually, as part of a primary care team, and through referral to other agencies. Develop, with the patient, an ongoing care plan with emphasis on health education and preventative measures Work collaboratively with other health care professionals and disciplines Clear and accurate documentation An appreciation of the importance of confidentiality and data protection The ability to assess for safeguarding issues and proactively refer on to relevant organisations / safeguarding teams An ability to provide leadership, education and mentorship Acknowledge equality, diversity and the rights of patients, carers and colleagues You will be responsible for: Following network medical practice policies and procedures Completing mandatory training Keeping up to date with NMC revalidation requirements Keeping up to date with the knowledge and skills required for the job role and service gaps/changes Vaccinated against coronavirus and hepatitis B infections Full, clean driving licence Training and development We will support the post holder in their continuing professional development to keep up-to-date and develop their knowledge and skills. There will be an annual appraisal that will agree a personal development plan. The post-holder will be part of a network multi-disciplinary clinical peer support group with the opportunity to support and learn from others from different health professional backgrounds, audit of clinical practice and review significant events. Several of the practices take on students and learners for educational placements from a variety of health professional back grounds. We would encourage network staff to be involved in their training. Work closely with other clinical staff and administrative managers in the setting up and/or improving of clinical practice and practice systems. Be willing to share and work on innovative ideas and projects for improving patient care.
