Job Title: School Cook

Location: Waterloo Lodge School, Chorley, Lancashire

Salary: £18,576.00 per annum

Hours: 26 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 08:00-13:30 Friday 08:00-12:00

Contract: Permanent, Term time only

We are looking for a responsible, caring School Cook to join our fantastic team at Waterloo Lodge School in Chorley. As School Cook, you will help support our pupils and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are well fed, comfortable, and healthy.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping pupils with varied and complex needs.

About the role

Our School Cooks carry out an essential and role to provide meals required by the pupils and young people in our care. When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a School Cook, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Essential

City & Guilds or NVQ in Catering
Experience of working in the catering industry
Good standard of personal hygiene
Good catering presentation skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Flexible approach to working
Ability to build relationships with pupils & young people
Resilience
Ability to work on own initiative
Willing to undertake training
Ability to prioritise tasks

Waterloo Lodge is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 11 to 18, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs in Lancashire, Manchester and surrounding areas. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
