We are pleased to be partnering with an industry leading niche recruitment business in the appointment of a head of finance. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a very successful, well-established company based in the centre of Manchester. Hybrid working.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the finance function for 2 entities. You will manage and develop internal processes creating efficiencies with support of a finance assistant.

Reporting directly into the operations director, duties will include:

• Responsible for preparing the monthly accounts for 2 key entities and further expansion planned.
• Prepare and develop the board pack to create accountability and visibility for departmental heads to aid with decision making.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Posting month end journals such as accruals, prepayments, and inter-company recharges.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns.
• Develop and improve the accounts process.
• Operate as part of the management team

Key experience and attributes -

• Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Possess strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• An individual with a positive attitude.
• Someone with good attention to detail
• Able to use own initiative and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Xero experience
