Job description
This includes but is not limited to – fault finding, rectification work, damage repairs, modification and work arising.
To ensure that stock levels are kept and stock is stored correctly.
To order / reorder stock as required.
To carry out damage reports / overload inspections on behalf of the customer and provide all documentation including photographs when required.
To submit quotes and final costs for 3rd party work
Complete all relevant documentation relating to all work carried out on any rolling stock vehicle.
To correctly file / store all rolling stock documentation
To communicate stoppages and up date on the progress of rolling stock to the Field Maintenance Coordinator via telephone.
To complete and send stoppage forms to the Field Maintenance Coordinator.
This position is 36 hours per week, 07:00 to 15:00 with one Saturday in every four.
Applicants must have a hands on mechanical engineering background
A NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and a completed apprenticeship would be a distinct advantage.
Rail industry experience would also be an advantage.
You must also be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
We are offering a salary of £28,759 per annum.
