Subsea Technology & Rentals is a market leader in supplying the finest technology and enhanced support services to the offshore energy industry. With over 15 years’ experience of delivering trusted solutions to the subsea industry, STR is seeking to recruit new talent following rapid growth.

Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Engineer to join our Aberdeen base. The successful candidate will report to the Rental & Services Sales Manager and be responsible for managing a number of key customer accounts and providing technical sales support.

The candidate will hold a relevant engineering or offshore background and ideally 3-5 years’ experience working in the marine technology sector, with a proven track record in equipment rental or sales.

The applicant will need to demonstrate a confident “can do” attitude in a fast-paced environment and must be a team player. The applicant will need to be an excellent communicator and offer exceptional attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities

• Developing customer accounts – both existing and new
• Interpreting and responding to customer enquiries
• Generating rental and sales quotations
• Managing the processing of customers’ orders
• Communicating clients technical requirements to the workshop
• Supporting the business CAPEX process
• Contributing to sales reporting
• Supporting industry tradeshows and business development activities

Requirements of Role

• Proven track record in marine technology sales/rentals or relevant background in offshore survey and or ROV operations
• Qualified in marine science or an engineering discipline
• Ability to drive and manage the sales process
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
• Knowledge of global Export Controls of dual use equipment desirable
• Ability to communicate throughout the organisation structure
• Ambitious and self-motivated
