Job description
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a production manager for our client who are an established engineering company on the south coast.
As a production manager you will be leading the production team on a daily basis ensuring standards and deadlines are met throughout
For this role, we are looking for someone who meeting the following criteria
- Experience within a fast–paced engineering product manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and understanding implementation of ISO(Apply online only) clauses and processes.
- Leadership skills and management of staff including welders, fabricators, and support staff.
- Experience with running a workshop and manufacturing production planning to meet customer deadlines.
- Experience and knowledge of various machine functions and maintenance including laser cutter. folding, punch, welding processes. Knowledge of Bysoft laser cutting; nesting.
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to impart/train technical knowledge and work instructions clearly.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP manufacturing software business systems, SAGE, MS Office tools (Excel and word).
- Be willing to work additional hours as required and occasionally work off site
- Be willing to support/cover job roles within your area of responsibility during periods of holiday or whilst recruiting staff.
- Hold a full UK driving license
The hours for this job are are 8am to 4.30pm (30 minute unpaid break) on a Monday to Friday basis.
This role is paying between GBP11.50 – GBP14.50 depending on prior experience as a production manager and any relevant certifications.
This role will become a permanent position following a successful 12 week temp–perm period.
