Job description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the Tissue Viability Service at The Royal Oldham Hospital, part of the Northern Care Alliance.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is passionate about wound care and quality improvement. We will support you to develop into a expert practitioner in Tissue Viability.
The successful candidate will provide specialist advice, support and education to patients and staff in the Acute setting and will demonstrate Tissue Viability knowledge and a proven interest in acute and chronic complex wound care, pressure ulcer prevention, treatment and management.
Oldham Care Organisation , part of The Northern Care Alliance has an opportunity for a Band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist to join our Hospital based team at The Royal Oldham Hospital. The Tissue Viability Nurse will provide expert advice and support to inpatient services and staff. Will support with training for staff, patients and carers in relation to tissue viability, including pressure ulcer prevention and management, surgical wounds and leg ulcers.

The post holder will become part of the Tissue Viability team in maintaining standards of clinical care and work in close collaboration with other professionals.
They will provide expert clinical advice, support and education within the acute hospital setting and work collaboratively with professionals and agencies involved in the delivery of wound care, based on local and national guidelines and best practice recommendations, in relation to wound management strategies.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
