Job Description
- Coaching and development of the site finance team. Includes career planning, objective setting, prioritisation of tasks, and managing day to day performance.
- Responsible for monthly financial reporting of site performance to the BU, ensuring that all systems are updated correctly.
- Business partnering with budget holders and site senior leadership team to ensure engagement and that financial priorities are understood and discussed in the correct forums with the correct audience.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Management Accountants are providing timely information to the shift leadership teams and other relevant stakeholders to drive site financial performance.
- Attend daily and weekly meetings, actively participate in these meetings and ensure that there is alignment on the cost KPI's between operational teams and finance, and providing coaching if required.
- Support site Kaizen Leaders and Green Belts with project charters, savings calculations, and tracking of productivity delivery in power steering.
- Finance lead for inventory counts (fixed assets, engineering spares, raw materials and finished goods.)
- Work with the Management Accountants and Financial Control team to establish and embed relevant financial controls at site.
The Successful Applicant
- CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW/ICAS qualified
- Manufacturing and/or engineering accounting experience
- Business partnering experience
- Development and coaching experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Drive for results/ability to work under pressure (role is deadline driven)
- Ability to influence upwards to affect the results & progress of the action plan
- Communication skills to all levels
