Overview
A well-renowned charity based in Kings Cross are looking for someone with outstanding organisational skills to join the team as an Administrator.
Salary: £22,000 – £26,000
The Role
- Manage the weekly approval, processing and payment of support fund grants
- Process and bank all donations (cheques, vouchers, credit cards, on-line etc.) in accordance with regulations and best practice, reconciling and coding bank statements and protecting personal data
- Record donor details on the database and thank donors in a personal and timely manner
- Manage the database, liaising with the service provider, and ensuring that data is up to date and relevant to our work
- Respond to public enquiries by phone, letter or email in a polite and timely manner
- Manage invoices, process payments and monitor expenditure
- Manage bank and investment accounts
- Ensure that all team members are DBS checked, and take on the role of identity-document approved checker
- Manage office contracts, petty cash, post, and other office management duties.
- Service board meetings, taking minutes and compiling and circulating board papers
- As part of a small office team, to perform any other duties which may be reasonably required by the director or board of trustees, for example assisting at occasional events

- Reliable, trustworthy and organised
- Excellent verbal communication skills with supporters, beneficiaries and members of the public
- High level of literacy and numeracy
- Positive approach to multi-tasking and problem solving
- Accurate attention to detail
- Able to manage, analyse and understand data
- Excellent IT skills, particularly databases, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to deliver to deadlines and complete tasks methodically
- Willingness to work flexibly and effectively as a member of a small staff team
- Sympathetic to the aims of the charity
