Salary: 70–80,000
Reporting into: Contracts Manager
Job Specification:
Project Manager required for a successful regional construction contractor in North Wales, with a strong pipeline of long–term projects working within a range of sectors.
The Project Manager is required to oversee the successful delivery of the construction project achieving both operational and commercial goals through the effective management of the project team, and internal and external stakeholders.
The Project Manager will drive the project to competion, on time and on budget in a safe and quality–focused manner by guiding the site team.
Responsibilities:
- To oversee the day–to–day management and leadership of the assigned project; working with the site team, sub–contractors and supplier to achieve the programme requirements.
- To take overall responsibility for implementation of all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- To develop method statements and risk assessments for project operatives on site.
- To ensure suppliers and sub–contractors provide project–specific ITPs/QA check sheets before any work commences on site.
- To follow the project quality plan to ensure works are being carried out to the required quality standard.
- To ensure works comply with the project–specific environmental and waste management plan.
- To chair and attend design team meetings as required and ensure the design team issue information in line with the project programme.
- To ensure design information is reviewed and issued to the supply chain in line with the project programme.
- To work closely with the project's commercial team to report on the current and projected financial status of a project.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in leading delivery on construction projects of significant value.
- Demonstrable experience of managing large project budgets and site teams.
- Expert knowledge of delivery under NEC and JCT contract conditions.
- Experience of using ASA Power Project or Microsoft Project.
- Relevant Construction Qualification (HND/Degree).
- Membership/accreditation with a relevant professional body (e.g. CIOB/ICE).
- 5–day SMSTS.
- CSCS Black Card.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
