Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a Key Stage 2 Teacher in Hertford starting immediately. The role is part time, 3 days per week in a mixed Year 4/5 class, and will involve planning and marking; the position is currently for 1 academic term with the potential to be extended.

The school are looking for someone who embodies their ethos of valuing everyone and nurturing a love of learning in all their students. At the most recent OFSTED inspection this one form entry Primary school continued to be graded 'Good'.

Role:

• Strong knowledge of the curriculum in at Key Stage 2
• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
• Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
• Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
• Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching in a Primary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• Experience working with SEND is desirable
