Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

Role Profile
Cast UK is currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a family-owned business, a prominent European market leader in their industry. As the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager you will be pivotal in delivering mid to long term success of the business while expanding the market share geographically, as well as improving average gross margins.
Reporting to the COO, you will work Monday to Friday and be based onsite at the operation in Corby.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing all group-wide procurement activities, with a focus on acquiring finished goods from major suppliers from Far East, accounting for an expenditure of over £10 million.
Leading the design and execution of a comprehensive European transport and distribution system, covering both customer deliveries and intercompany transport.
Managing the supervision, configuration, and execution of freight shipping and transport logistics for all imported goods from Far East.
Responsible for the management of stock within the European Group, ensuring a balance between product availability, service levels, stock turnover, and inventory value.
Establishing a strong collaborative partnership among Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Maintain and develop relationship with crucial Far Eastern suppliers, striving to achieve strategic partnerships. Identify possibilities to minimise lead times and enhance the efficiency of supplies.
Oversee the strategic 3PL relationships, ensuring excellent standards are upheld.
Handle all logistics and transport tender processes, including negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes for the group.
Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience in strategic purchasing and international logistics management within a service-oriented industry.
A collaborative team player with outstanding communication and influencing skills.
Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise effectively
Strong negotiation skills with record of leading and closing cost-effective tender processes.
Proactive in initiating ideas and taking ownership of projects.
Proficient in analytical skills, with hands-on knowledge of Purchasing and Logistics management software such as Dexterity WMS, Sage 200, or other relevant solutions.
