Job description
Our global biotech client has an exciting opportunity for an EMEA Marketing Specialist to join its team. As the Marketing Specialist, you will develop and execute marketing communication programs to support company strategic initiatives and drive segment specific revenue growth – particularly for the Food Safety division. This is a B2B role, where you will be responsible for developing campaigns using a segment and targeted approach, lead generation, lead pipeline acceleration and lead conversion that delivers revenue. You must have proven experience in a B2B marketing role, including experience and knowledge of food safety with a regional focus on EMEA Region.
Role Responsibilities
- Utilizes knowledge of the food safety market to conceptualize and develop marketing campaigns that connect with potential customers at each point throughout the buyer journey, as well as leads nurture processes to drive accelerated sales.
- Analyzes industry segments, competitive environment, and customer demographics (personas) to develop company message architecture, unique selling propositions and brand position in the marketplace.
- Build, execute and optimize digital marketing campaigns by leveraging CRM data, marketing automation tools, paid search/social platforms, organic traffic sources and other channels.
- Allocate and optimize media spend across channels to maximize ROAS.
- Write copy for website, landing pages, emails, paid ads, etc.
- Construct emails and landing pages based on approved templates, and collaboration with technical writers and designers for other campaign artifacts. Align messages, artwork and downloads with relevant buyer stage.
- Be able to engage with channel partners for developing and implementing measurable segment or portfolio campaigns on focus region or country using multiple platforms and channels.
- Ensures campaign tracking mechanisms are in place to effectively track KPIs and develop reports.
- Work cross functionally, regionally and globally as well as understand the VOC in the region.
- Monitor progress and measure results of all key marketing campaigns through regular pipeline inspection & deal tracking using a regional marketing dashboard that tracks effectiveness & impact of marketing spend on pipeline, using defined tools and resources.
- Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seek guidance as necessary.
- Actively support and participate in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Safety Manual and Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Carry out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Event coordination: be responsible of organizing key Tradeshows in EMEA
- Handle various other duties, as delegated by the EMEA Marketing Manager.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Marketing, Advertising or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience, required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of B2B marketing required.
- Experience and knowledge of food safety with a regional focus on EMEA Region
- Working knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, social media CRM systems, exhibition management, marketing automation tools and a range of other platforms to develop, launch and measure campaigns. Google Analytics knowledge a plus
- Experience working in a regional role across EMEA and can demonstrate campaign success with channel partners driving omnichannel campaigns.
- Strong client focus, relationship building skills and stakeholder management internally and externally.
- Intermediate knowledge of CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.) and HTML.
- Intermediate knowledge of display networks
- Intermediate knowledge of CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of content distribution networks (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.)
- Intermediate Knowledge of social media networks
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO (on-page, off page, link building)
- Intermediate knowledge of buyer journey, personas and overall lead nurture process
- Intermediate knowledge of remarketing and conversion tracking (tracking/conversion pixels)
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Analytics and UTM codes
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads (other platforms helpful)
- Intermediate knowledge of marketing automation (list management, email, landing page, forms, etc.).
- Must be an excellent team player with a positive attitude and have a commitment to development in their role and within the team.
- Fluent English + one European language (Italian, German, Spanish)
