We are working with a very reputable, stylish commercial business to recruit a Procurement Manag er to join their team based in Stockport . This is a British company with an international presence, within the Design industry. They deliver products that are innovative, high quality and of social merit. You will join a small, friendly team and focus on making the procurement division a streamlined success.
Key responsibilities...
- Day to day purchasing for all active selling products within the Portfolio.
- Allocation of stock to orders on the system.
- Proactively purchasing stock in an efficient manner to ensure we never run out of popular products.
- Target to get our OTIF figure to 95% or above.
- Providing accurate reports to Operations Manager.
- Purchasing stock in the most cost effective manner including transport.
- Keeping product codes up to date on Sage and ensuring all the key information is always present.
- Re order level & Re order quantity monitoring.
- Communicating with sales team to ensure they are kept up to date on order / stock queries.
- Keeping on top of suppliers to ensure we are getting the best level of service.
- Being strategic with suppliers who are providing a poor service.
- Organising kits to ensure we have the correct BOM set ups for products and those kits appear within purchase reports effectively.
- Dispatching of orders and creation of commercial invoices where required.
- Providing lead times for project works.
- Assisting sales with estimation of products for project work.
- Arranging for products to go out for a “Service” whether this be PVD or another method of refinishing.
- 24 Hour Max response time to emails.
Requirements
- Working as part of a team to get the best solutions and methods
- Sage (Preferable)
- Reporting Knowledge within Sage 50.
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work under pressure
- Advocate of making the complex things simple
- Product approval / certification experience.
- Experience dealing with overseas supply chain.
- Microsoft office experience essential
- Microsoft BI Experience advantageous
Working hours – 7:30 – 4:30 Mon-Thurs, 7:30 – 3:00 Fri
