Recreational Leisure Assistant
Location: Shrewsbury Sports Village
Job Type: Casual
Salary: Up to £10.42

Serco are seeking a Recreational Leisure Assistant to assist, monitor and supervise customers in recreational activities at Shrewsbury Sports Village, the role will require the successful applicant to work on a part time basis covering various shift patterns across Monday – Sunday to cover operational hours.

As the Leisure Assistant you will have specific responsibilities for providing clean and safe recreational facilities and activities and for ensuring that customers enjoy themselves. The main purpose of the role is to work within the leisure area of the centre where you will provide support and safety for various age groups covering all kinds of leisure-based activities.

But you won’t be working alone. Our leisure centre has a close knit and supportive team, all working towards providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community. You will also receive fantastic training and development opportunities and benefits including free leisure access and other various discounts. 

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.

What you’ll need to do the role
This role will see you welcoming and interacting with our customers of all ages and abilities so you will be naturally friendly and helpful using your excellent communication and customer service skills to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

It is desirable that you have either worked in a sporting or leisure environment, so you are able to advise and promote all of our products and services accordingly.

You will use your knowledge of health and safety in the workplace to ensure our leisure centre is always kept clean and safe.
