Factory Accountant

Description:

Hunter Savage are delighted to be partnering with a leading company in the FMCG industry who serve a client base through the UK & Ireland, seeking a Factory Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Factory Accountant will be responsible for Operational KPI’s and variance reporting.

The Role:

• Manage daily and weekly factory labour variance reporting to ensure accurate and timely insights into workforce efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager to develop Supply Chain KPIs and implement enhanced reporting measures for improved decision-making.
• Work closely with site Operations teams to guarantee the creation of robust product costings that align with financial objectives.
• Conduct monthly stock and work in progress valuations, providing comprehensive reports for informed decision-making.
• Conduct Factory process reviews and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting financial planning initiatives, and drive improvements in finance processes for optimised KPI reporting.

The Person:

• Part-Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role. Qualified accountant with strong experience is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, showcasing understanding of industry-specific challenges and dynamics.
• Proficient in financial modelling, with strong skills in using pivot tables and manipulating data to derive meaningful insights.
• Highly structured and organized, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in financial processes and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with individuals at all organizational levels to facilitate effective information exchange.
• Proven experience in planning and organizing multiple tasks, adept at prioritizing and managing conflicting demands and deadlines.
