What do we have to offer?
Reporting to the Head of Legal (UK&I) who is based in England, you will form part of a dynamic and diverse Group Legal team that supports the whole of the SD Worx business. Despite geographical distance, you will work closely with the rest of Corporate Legal to continuously improve the ways of working for legal services across the Group.
That being said, your focus will be on Ireland . You will provide general commercial legal support to the business whilst advising and monitoring all applicable aspects of law relating to the company’s business operations. You will assist the management team and internal stakeholders (for example in sales, operations, product & finance) in ensuring that the business follows proper legal procedures in every way possible. You will advocate the fiduciary, statutory and ethical concerns raised in the organisation and strive to resolve legal issues in all areas and within the SD Worx risk appetite. You must be experienced in contract management and negotiation with both clients and suppliers, and in ensuring that contracts are accurate, robust and meet any legal requirements.
Our preference is to have an individual located in Ireland however we are open to individuals with irish jurisdiction experience to be based in the UK with some travel to our offices in Bray, Ireland.
What do you have to offer?
Below you will find a standard list of requirements usually reserved for a legal role like this. We feel it is important for them to be included here so that you know what is expected of you. That being said, you will not find a minimum required university grade or set number of years PQE.
There is a reason for this. We are, of course, looking for a qualified lawyer who can do the job and demonstrate excellence in the legal field. But we are also looking for somebody who is keen to learn more about our business and people and be creative in solving problems within our industry.
Being willing to help the SD Worx business thrive through supporting its people is important, and we believe that this can be achieved through demonstrating experience in a number of ways other than a top university degree and/or experience at a high profile law firm.
Please note that experience working with Irish jurisdiction is essential for this role.
