Job description

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for tutors to fill flexible positions with students across the Oldham area

Are you a qualified Teacher looking for a new challenge? Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated 1-2-1 Tutor in the Oldham area .

As a tutor/mentor you would be required to offer support to the student for 10 hours per week - 5 hours per day, supporting them with Maths and English, in their own home. You will be required to complete weekly feedback forms on the student's progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.

In addition to Maths and English tuition, this student requires support with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health, so an understanding of this would be beneficial.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Oldham
- Position - Tutor
- Subject - English and Maths
- Start date - ASAP
- Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
- Contract type - Permanent
- Full time/part-time - Part Time
- The minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £25 per hour
- Hours - Between the hours of 8:30am - 4:00pm (usually 2 hours per session)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a UK school
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as, we can provide this)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
