Job description

We are now recruiting for a Gatehouse Team Leader to join our Loss Prevention team at our Liverpool Distribution Centre. You will be integral to the smooth day to day running of the Gatehouse. As the first point of contact for deliveries you will be responsible for leading your team of Operatives in booking in these deliveries and security checking and booking out vehicles. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and proactively works to ensure a safe and secure working environment for Warehouse and Transport colleagues by effectively controlling the barriers across our 3 gates and carrying out internal and external patrols. Liaising with transport to ensure vehicles are booked in and out correctly. Overall responsibility to ensure site is safe and secure. Carry out regular patrols and assign Operatives to patrol areas Validate and update patrol records Occasionally examine CCTV footage and incident reports when required. Ensure site safety during a site evacuation Undertake Yard Safety Marshal duties during busy periods ensuring the main road is clear Respond to assistance requests from colleagues Assist third parties and emergency services under the guidance of the Loss Prevention Manager Minimum Criteria To Apply Experience of working as a Gatehouse Operative is desirable Computer proficient in Microsoft Office and AS400 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to prioristise and organise workloads to ensure smooth flowing deliveries Understanding of distribution centre functions About The CompanyTJ Morris Limited trading as Home Bargains is a privately owned family run discount retailer selling top brands at the lowest possible price on the UK high street.
