Job description

Our client is looking to grow their team in Bishop's Stortford by recruiting a Rail Engineer who will support their design team in delivering projects within the Rail and Civil Structures sector. Within the role, youll be required to produce and assist in the production of detailed designs, drawings, design reports and associated documentation, working under the guidance of the Civils Design Director. Typical responsibilities can include, but are not limited to: Developing civil/ structural designs in accordance with the project specific requirements.Aiding in the production of technical reports.Ensuring designs are compliant with Safe by Design and CDM 2015 regulations.Representing the Discipline Lead at design development and review meetings and workshops.Undertaking designs using analysis and design software packages (such as MIDAS, Superstress and TEDDS). Job Requirements: 5+ years' experience in a design office working on a variety of projects, ideally within Rail, but not essential.Ideally an understanding of multi-disciplinary railway design interfaces.Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, BEng or BSc (or equivalent).Comfortable using analysis and design software packages.Experience of the CDM and other relevant legislation.
