As an Apprentice (Registration Service), you will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in the Registration Service. 

You will work across the Registration Service of Durham County Council within Legal & Democratic Services. The structured training programme will enable you to gain experience, further education and broad base skills. 

The apprenticeship role involves contributing to the efficiency of the organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams within the Registration Service and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness of the role allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills within the Registration of Births Deaths Marriages and Civil Partnerships Service. 

The apprenticeship will be based at The Story, Mount Oswald Durham but you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.

What qualification will I gain?

You will study towards the Business Administrator Level 3 standard with Durham Learn.

What will I need?

You must either have or expect to achieve 4 GCSE’s grade 9-4/A*-C in English and Maths or an equivalent qualification, together with good communication and ICT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
