Exciting opportunity to join the VoG Adult Safeguarding Team as an Adult Safeguarding Officer. Previous experience as a Social Care Officer (or similar) within a statutory Adult services role is essential. The ability to work under direction and on your own intuitive is a necessary requirement of the role. You will be aiding the Safeguarding team in undertaking its statutory duty in line with Social Services and Well-being act and Wales Safeguarding procedures, which will include being part of a duty rota. You will be a good communicator and be able to engage effectively with Adults at Risk their families, friends and advocates and professionals. You will be aware of the Social Services and Well-being Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Human Rights Act and Wales Safeguarding Procedures and have a commitment to your professional development in this area.
