Temporary PCN Appeals Officer/ Admin - School Streets

Pay Rate: £18.66 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 36 Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
This opening assignment is for 3 months
City: WEMBLEY, LONDON
Responsible for considering representations against PCNs in accordance with the relevant legislation. the person will be reviewing representations for contravention code 53, School Street.
Key Responsibilities

Contribute to planning and implement a quality curriculum that encompasses high quality childcare practice within a framework of equal opportunities.
Liaise with other professionals and agencies to ensure each child achieves their maximum potential.
Take care of the children's personal needs.
Supervise the children and ensure their safety.
Keep records up to date and work as part of a team and to contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery.
Adhere to Childcare’s Policies and Procedures.
Work within National Legislation and adopted guidance on good practice within childcare settings. Work in partnership with parents/carers encouraging links with the wider community.
Work effectively and co-operatively as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, actively participate in the consultation process, attend staff/team meetings and training days within normal working hours.

Qualifications:

A relevant qualification in parking Notice Processing: either
WAMITAB Level 3 in Notice Processing, or City & Guilds Level 3 in Notice Processing. Required to qualify for the higher grade.

Knowledge:

Possess an in-depth and current knowledge of all decriminalised parking and moving traffic legislative controls, and enforcement requirements & processes.
Must have knowledge of working for parking and experience of processing challenge/representations.

Experience:

Significant experience in notice processing following the attainment of a relevant qualification.
Previous experience of processing high volumes of correspondence.
Experience of processing parking or traffic representations and appeals.
Experience of meeting targets for both qualitative and quantitative performance.
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experience working in a parking back office
Processing representations.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
Possess the necessary interpersonal skills to handle disagreement and conflict (affecting you or other colleagues), constructively, professionally and safely.
Proven ability to assess formal parking or moving traffic representations, make case decisions and explain the basis for that decision.
