Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons to students at the primary or secondary level
• Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for the subject
• Support students in developing their acting and performance skills through activities and exercises
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them reach their full potential
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive drama curriculum
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and performance
• Stay up-to-date with developments in drama education and incorporate new techniques and resources into teaching practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Drama or related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
• Proven experience teaching drama to primary or secondary school students
• Strong knowledge of drama curriculum and assessment methods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population
