My client are, an award-winning medium sized business linked to the construction industry, they are currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team as an IT Infrastructure Engineer. Based at their Loughborough Head Office, this role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to advance their IT career and expand their knowledge within an established team.
Role Overview:
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing continuous improvements to systems and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient and effective IT support services, maintaining network security and integrity, and contributing to the company's digital transformation journey. Additionally, you'll provide excellent customer service to end users while enhancing your personal IT skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient IT Support Service: Ensure the IT support service operates efficiently and effectively.
• Network Security and Integrity: Maintain network security to meet requirements.
• Disaster Recovery Plan: Contribute to disaster recovery planning.
• Cyber Security Management: Manage cyber security measures.
• Backup Policy Procedures: Implement and oversee backup policies.
• Network Management: Maintain and optimize network infrastructure.
• Company Telecommunications: Support communication systems.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Forward-Looking: Drive new technology solutions.
• Customer-Focused: Maintain a strong attention to detail and prioritise customer satisfaction.
• Problem Solver: Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
• Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure and AWS.
• IT Hardware Practical Skills: Hands-on experience with IT hardware.
• Exchange Server: Proficiency in managing Exchange Server.
• Microsoft Platforms: General knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and applications based on Microsoft platforms.
• O365 and Windows Domains: Experience administering O365, Windows domains, and Windows Server technologies.
• Virtual Environments: Knowledge of virtual environments is advantageous.
• Security Principles: Understand security principles and troubleshooting.
