Rate: £350 p/d CIS
Duration: 6 Months + (Extension available)

Are you a Site Manager with experience working in the Water sector?
Have you got a strong background in site Health & Safety Management in a complex process based environment?
The business we are working with is a Contractor looking to add an experienced Site Manager to a clean water programme attached to their framework portfolio for Severn Trent Water in Wolverhampton. The successful Site Manager will work with the Project Managers and construction teams, as well as managing sub contractors to ensure the successful on site delivery of a crucial Non-Infrastructure project in the region of £10m.
The role will be overseeing a smooth operational process on site while a Treatment Plant remove and replace a chlorine gas based chamber on site. Experience with chlorine Gas management on a water treatment site is highly advantageous.
We can consider a Civil or M&E background/bias providing you have a strong background in health and Safety management.
Due to the complexities involved, you MUST have experience as a Site Manager in the UK Water Sector, we can consider from a tier 1 or tier 2 contractor background providing you've worked with projects attached to UK Water Authorities.
Although the role encompasses primarily H&S based work and people management as supposed to capital construction works, any clean water based experience in a non-infrastructre setting will be necessary.
Key responsibilities:
·Lead and manage site  teams within designated portfolios to deliver projects within approved budget and to an agreed time frame; facilitate project construction kick off meeting and lead health checks
·Responsible for the performance of tier 2 suppliers in relation to Safety, Time and Quality including approving RAMS ensuring they are appropriate and adequate
·Take the lead with Constructability Reviews, Project Rehearsal and Fit for Assembly sign-off which drives out performance and innovation where possible
·Drive a focus on zero waste and reducing embodied carbon within construction activities
·Ensure that the site teams are raising the relevant contractual and commercial notices to the rest of the Project Team in a timely manner
·Work with the Lead Construction Manager to establish long term and short term resource needs (labour, plant and materials)
·Ensure full H&S compliance is achieved where the team feel safe everyday and have the confidence and autonomy to raise safety concerns
·Look to implement a blend of standard products and innovation techniques which will maintain our position as industry-leaders

Skills/Experience(Required)
·SMSTS
·CSCS (Gold or Black)
·EUSR NAtional Water Hygiene Card
·Previous experience working on a Clean Water Treatment Works
