Assistant Works Manager

Permanent Role

Negotiable Salary DOE

We are looking for an Assistant Works Manager to join our client who are an established family business within the sign making industry. Reporting to the Works Manager, you will be assisting them with the day to day running of the production facility.

About the role

The role will involve the following duties and responsibilities

• Day to day supervision of up to 15 manufacturing personnel
• Assisting the Works Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the production facility
• Motivation and development of the team to achieve productivity targets
• Ensure jobs and projects and completed within the required time frames
• Overseeing the production and fitting teams
• Setting work schedules
• Collating information for specific job tasks and projects
• Organising and hiring on site equipment.

Skills and experience required

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience.

• Knowledge and experience of working within the sign making industry would be preferred.
• Supervisory or team leader experience within a manufacturing environment (Not food or the logistics sectors)
• Be able to interpret drawings and have some basic knowledge of assembly or fabrication work
• Be a motivator, be approachable and have excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Be comfortable working to targets and deadlines.
