To excel in this role, you should possess exceptional attention to detail, ideally hold a degree in Food Science/Technology, and have relevant qualifications such as HACCP level 3 and Internal auditor training. Previous experience in the food industry’s Technical or Quality department is valuable, along with knowledge of food legislation, labelling requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You should be a team player, adaptable to meet customer and business demands, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
As the Specifications and Compliance Technologist, your core responsibilities include maintaining technical data and specifications systems to meet business, customer, and legislative requirements. Key tasks encompass ensuring technical compliance across the company, collaborating with Quality teams, managing product specifications, handling customer requests, supporting Quality and Ethical management, and maintaining compliance with standards. You’ll also assist in audits, oversee documentation, and play a role in customer relations.
