Recycling Assistant
Hourly Rate - £10.42 per hour (plus overtime and benefits)
Hours – 41 hours per week
Postcode of depot – IP28 7JQ
As a Recycling Assistant with FCC Environment, we will train you to deliver a high standard of customer service to the public by actively encouraging re-use and recycling as well as assisting with their waste disposal.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week including weekends, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
As part of a team, you will encourage and assist customers to re-use and recycle their items brought to the recycling centres, reducing waste and helping the environment.
Working with the team, it is important to maintain a safe and efficient recycling centre service.
Ensuring that the highest standard of customer care is always maintained by meeting, greeting assisting and advising customers is really important to us and our customers.
We work with our local charity partner to identify items suitable for re-use and sale by the charity, raising money for their work with young people in Suffolk.
Full training will be provided for the job, including full induction and manual handling training for your career in recycling.
Career progression is available from apprenticeship up to degree level for those that want and show the right aptitude.
