Job description
An outstanding opening just in for a customer-focused Contact Lens Department Manager on a permanent basis in the Ilford area. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.
This practice is situated on a busy high street and is an eight-test room practice with a very strong contact lens clinic. They have a very friendly and welcoming team of thirty in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.
They are now looking to add to an already successful team due to significant expansion in this newly refurbed and well-established practice, boasting all the latest tech and two of the best owners/directors in the business.
· Salary up to £26,000 DOE plus up to ‘£15,000’ achievable bonus
· Holidays 20 days + BHs

· Would consider an experienced supervisor/manager or an experienced optical assistant, (the most important thing is a passion for & experience of working in the CL department)

The role will entail you taking the reins of the department working closely with the contact lens optician, taking care of your patients, and managing the clinics effectively.
Admin, Ordering, and stock control duties are part of your remit as well as taking care of the admin for the department and submission of reports to the directors on a frequent basis with suggestions on how you can further
As a Contact Lens Department Manager within this practice, you will have full input and be able to manage your diary times effectively while providing excellent care.
You will be on hand to assist the store management team to be as effective as possible.
As a member of the store’s middle management team, you will be involved in meetings and brainstorming sessions to overcome difficult situations and forward planning to maintain the practice position in the market.
Paying attention to clinical compliance alongside the contact lens optician and directors.
