Job description
We are currently recruiting a Fleet Training Manager to join our team and would love to hear from candidates located from the Wolverhampton area, down to the South.
Our drivers are paramount to our business and as such, their training is imperative to their and our success. The role of the Fleet Training Manager is to design, deliver, evaluate and support the learning and development initiatives for this team, ensuring at all times that compliance, health and safety and customer service excellence, is the core message.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying the training and development needs of Copart's Driver population
- Designing and delivering effective learning solutions, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that training is consistent
- Monitoring training metrics for compliance
- Designing and implementing learning qualification solutions, so that driving assessments are part of the recruitment process
- Planning and reviewing new Driver training, covering site introduction, routes, Safe Working Practices, Tacho procedures, defect reporting and walk around checks.
- Updating and briefing Safe Working Practices processes and associated documents to our Drivers
- Perform annual Driver Trainer assessments.
- Carry out specific Tacho training with Drivers who have infringed
- Carry out safe systems training with Drivers/Loaders, to include loading, deliveries, refuelling, use of tail lifts etc.
- Coaching individuals within the Driver Trainer team
- Playing a leading role in operational audits, supporting operational licence compliance as well as ensuring site compliance.
- Delivering all aspects of training to drivers which will include Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
What we need from you:
- An ambitious, energetic and dedicated individual with a passion for driving business performance
- High level of academic achievement, high learning agility and a proven ability of achieving and surpassing targets and objectives.
- A successful track record within Learning and Development - working across the full training life cycle from training needs analysis to delivery and evaluation
- Significant experience in the design, delivery and sourcing of pragmatic & value added learning solutions
- Internal stakeholder management capability
- Excellent communication skills, with the interpersonal skills to interact and influence at all levels
- Passionate about developing people and be driven to achieve success
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a multi-site operation
