Graduate Trainee Teacher
The Stockwood Park Academy are seeking to appoint a Graduate Trainee Teacher who is enthusiastic, dynamic, and knowledgeable who will contribute to the intellectual and social development of students and support their achievement.
This is an ideal role for any candidates wishing to pursue a career in teaching and interested in a 2 year programme towards QTS, initially with responsibilities as an LSA/ cover supervisor in year one, followed by the PGCE and QTS programme in Year 2.

Key Duties
· Support the teaching and learning of individual or groups of students, using support strategies appropriate to their learning needs.
· Contribute significantly to; the planning of teaching and learning work programmes and activities to achieve the aims of lessons.
· Contribute to the monitoring, recording and assessment of student progress through observation and questioning, against student targets.
· Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students, including records on student attendance at lessons together with class and homework set and undertaken.
· Contribute to the development of a purposeful working atmosphere, implement, and monitor the school’s behaviour and any related policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have:
Essential
· Have a passion for supporting students to learn.
· Have an interest in a future career in teaching.
· Have a degree level qualification in Sciences, Maths, Humanities or other
· Have excellent command of the English language.
Desirable
· Experience of working within a school setting.
· Be able to work under pressure.
· Work with pupils with confidence
· Have a flexible nature
· Be a great team-player
Job specifics
Start date: July 2024
Salary: Unqualified Teacher Scale 1-4 £20,598 - £27,406
Contract: Full time, 2-year fixed term contract.
