Job description
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are looking for an HGV 2 Skip driver to start immediately for our client based in East Lothian.
As a Class 2 Skip Driver you must:
- Have C Licence
- Have a CPC Card and valid Digital Tach Card
- Have less than 9 points on your licence (no DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements accepted due to insurance purposes)
- Have good customer service as this is a customer-facing role
- Prior experience is desirable but not essential
Class 2 Skip drivers responsibilities include:
- Working within residential areas and building sites
- Dealing with the collections and deliveries of skips to/ from customers
- General housekeeping of the working area and lorry
- Co-operating with management and co-workers
Successful Van Drivers can expect:
- 06:15 Starts (Around about 50 hours week)
- Monday – Friday: £12.50 PAYE
- Overtime after 8hrs: £16.66 PAYE
- Ongoing work with the opportunity to be taken on permanently after a 12-week probationary period of working with the client though us.
- Holiday accrual with every shift
- Weekly Pay
- 8hr minimum guaranteed pay per day
This position is commutable from Leith, Dalkeith, Dunbar , and other areas nearby to Edinburgh.
