What will you be doing?

This isn't just any role; it's a chance to put your mark on our volunteer programme, shaping it to be more impactful and rewarding for those who generously donate their time and skills to our cause.

What's the Role?

As our Volunteer Manager, you'll be the architect of our brand-new volunteer programme, aligning perfectly with our fresh business plan kicking off in January 2025. Your creativity and initiative will be key as you'll be drafting role descriptions, conducting interviews, and inducting new volunteers. But that's just for starters. You'll also set up a comprehensive volunteer policy, organise induction sessions, arrange essential training, oversee vetting processes, and maintain meticulous records. Your influence will be felt across the organisation as you guide the direction of volunteer management, making our programme a beacon of success and engagement.

What are we looking for?

Who Are We Looking For?

• Experience and Knowledge : You've been around the block, with a solid background in volunteer management or a related field. Your experience means you're ready to hit the ground running, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to the table.
• Initiative : We value self-starters who can take the reins without constant guidance. You're someone who sees what needs to be done and does it.
• Alignment with Our Mission : You understand the importance of our work and are genuinely passionate about making a difference in the criminal justice system. Your values reflect our mission, aims, and objectives.
• Qualifications : Ideally, you'll already hold a Level 4 qualification in Volunteer Management or be willing to work towards it. Additionally, completing BPSS vetting is a must.

What difference will you make?

Your input will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders and the general public. With your help, we will be able to continue to help people have a voice and be heard in the criminal justice system in England and Wales.
