Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a full-time Chemistry Technician to start working at an Ofsted Outstanding 11-18 secondary school based in Knutsford, Cheshire East. The role would begin immediately and would run until the end of the school year in July (with the potential for it to become a permanent role). Monday - Friday with hours of 08:30 - 15:30 each day.

Responsibilities of the role include;

• Working within the school's Science/Chemistry department.
• Helping to set up practical experiments in the classroom.
• Assisting the class teacher with practical experiments during lessons.
• Ensuring students are using equipment safely.
• Clearing up practical experiments and doing regular stock takes of all equipment.

Pay for this role will be;

£1,660 - £2,000 per month, depending on experience

This is a great opportunity for anybody with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry or a related field who is looking to work within education and would provide excellent experience for anybody who is looking to go on to complete their PGCE and become a teacher in the future. Requirements for the role are;

• Must have a Chemistry or related Science undergraduate degree as minimum qualification (those with Masters degree are encouraged to apply, but this is by no means a necessity).
• Must be available full-time from now until at least July 2024 (there is the possibility of the role becoming permanent, however if you are not looking for a permanent role then you can still apply).
• Must live within commuting distance of Knutsford/Cheshire East.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
