Job description
The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a Industrial equipment supplier with offices in Luton
The Role
Supporting the day to day running of the Finance Department and ensuring that accounting processes run smoothly and in a timely manner, legal and internal accounting requirements are met and accounting processes are continuously improved
Day to day duties will consist of:
- Acting as Accounts Coordinator between central Finance Operations Functions (Shared Service centers) and the local organization.
- Complement Finance Operations with local processes in Accounts Payables (e.g. Kofax End User Trainings) , Accounts receivables (e.g. Issuing Credit notes) and Customs (e.g. handle Customs requests.
- Ensure legal requirements are met concerning documentation and quality.
- Supporting Insurance Processes like handling claims and renewal of insurance contracts
- VAT Submissions in high quality
- Key point of contact for shared service enquiries
- AP & ARqueries issues
- Issuing credit notes
Deliverables
- Keeping the records and tasks up to date
- Ensure compliance with accounting policy and legal requirements
- Ensure data quality and taking ownership for problem solving
- Develop and improve processes envolved
Your Profile
- Experienced in SAP
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Hardworking individual.
- Willing to learn and progress.
- Clean Criminal Record
- Highly organised
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy
- Be knowledgeable in Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Be a confident communicator
- Have the ability to meet multi task efficiently.

- Have strong numeracy skills
Salary and Benefits
Role of an Accounts Assistant in Luton is paying a Salary of £35,000 - dependant on experience. 39 hours per week, 1 hour lunch along with 25 days holiday and fulltime office working,
