Job description


We are looking to recruit Senior Paramedic Practitioners into our newly developed Urgent Treatment Centres.
• Are you: 1st level paramedic with at least 2 years’ experience as a band 6 Paramedic Practitioner in A&E or MIU.
• Experience of working in an Urgent Treatment Centre
• Do you have a degree or undertaking a degree in advanced practice.
• Do you have A&E radiology (Red Dot) and evidence of specialist courses demonstrating an ability to assess, diagnose and treat patients with Illness or Injury?
• You must have evidence of completing an in-house training module for paramedic practitioners or relevant course for an Emergency Care Practitioner.
• We are looking for a Senior Paramedic Practitioner with proven leadership skills who can work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of patient focused care within the standards set out by both government and trust policies.
• You must have completed illness and injury training.

You'll be an independent Practitioner. In this role you will see, examine, diagnose and treat patients with minor injuries and minor illness from age 1 up for X ray, suture and deal with all wounds

The department can be busy and diverse in an ever-changing environment and we are looking for highly motivated members, to join our team, who are adaptable to clinical change on a shift basis.

The post has been developed to cover shift patterns at the Folkestone and Deal Urgent Treatment Centres however sometimes internal rotation across the service as required.

You should have the ability to work autonomously, ‘’think on your feet’’ and take responsibility for the unit, being willing to develop and expand your clinical practice within the service guidelines.

The service opening times in the Minor Injuries is 8am to 8pm seven days a week.
