Job Title: Head of Teaching and Learning (Apprenticeships)
Location: Home/Field based - Must be flexible with travel
Salary: Circa £45,000 – £50,000
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Duties include:
- Hold strategic leadership and management responsibilities, to oversee and maintain outstanding quality of teaching and learning, across the delivery of our clients Apprenticeship and training programmes.
- Leading and implementing policy on Safeguarding, Prevent, Health and Wellbeing and Mental Health. Ensuring standards are maintained and implemented and reflected within the culture of the business
- Developing / reviewing and writing company policies and processes, and ensuring these are implemented within the business correctly
- Responsible for learner achievement/progression rates, curriculum planning and budgeting/forecasting for apprentice intake.
- Completing Self-Assessment Report (SAR), Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Supporting the business through Ofsted inspections and ensuring readiness for any other external inspections/audits.
- Ensure the quality assurance strategy and AO requirements are met.
- Leadership of staff: providing effective coaching, development, performance management and monitoring of KPI’s.
- Excellent communication across the business working in collaboration with the senior staff, Managers and wider team to achieve company objectives
- Development of the company, collaborating with businesses and stakeholders, supporting with securing new contracts and achieving business plan.
- Identify areas of improvement and drive change for success.
- Maintain knowledge on key policy developments in relation to teaching, learning and assessment.
Criteria:
- Recent experience of working in a similar role, within Apprenticeship quality management, and experience of leading on Ofsted.
- Proven experience of business development, identifying funding opportunities and tendering
- Experience of managing IQA’s and supporting the wider team with quality and performance for the delivery of Apprenticeship Standards.
- Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
- Must be flexible with travel
