Tree Surveyor
Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Surveyor to join our team. As a Tree Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and documenting trees in various environments. Your attention to detail and knowledge of tree species and biology will be crucial in ensuring accurate identification and evaluation of tree health and condition.
You will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys, collecting data, and preparing comprehensive reports. Your ability to interpret the data collected and provide recommendations for tree maintenance and preservation will be essential to our clients' needs. Additionally, you will be expected to work closely with a team of professionals, including arborists and landscape architects, to support their projects and goals.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough on-site surveys to document and assess tree health, condition, and species
Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to measure and record tree dimensions, including height, canopy spread, and diameter
Analyze data collected during surveys to evaluate the vitality, structural integrity, and disease susceptibility of trees
Prepare accurate and detailed reports outlining survey findings, including tree identification, health assessments, and recommendations for maintenance or removal
Collaborate with arborists and landscape architects to support their projects, providing expertise on tree-related matters
Stay updated on the latest advancements in tree surveying techniques, equipment, and regulations
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during all surveys and data collection activities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in forestry, horticulture, or a related field
Proven experience working as a Tree Surveyor or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of tree species, biology, and common diseases
Proficient in using measuring tools, GPS devices, and tree surveying software
Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and assess trees
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients and team members
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17.00
Pay Per Hour: £30.00
