What you will do in your working day
About the Host (Placement):
A reputable timber and MDF manufacturer specializing in premium skirting, architraves, window boards, and door linings. Their products cater to both business-to-business and business-to-consumer customers, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customized solutions for interior finishing needs. With a focus on precision, our client delivers a comprehensive range of timber and MDF products, meeting the demands of commercial and residential construction projects alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare timber for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and priming surfaces.
- Assist with timber machining processes and moulder machine operations.
- Learn to identify timber species, understand timber grades, and different timber treatments.
- Adhere to safety protocols when working with timber, related machinery, and hazardous materials.
- Gain exposure to quality control measures, machinery maintenance, and production workflow.

The training you will be getting
- You will be studying the Level 3 Craft Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship with GLP Training.
- End point assessment.
- You will receive a Level 3 qualification in Craft Carpentry and Joinery, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
