We are looking for someone who puts customer welfare and safety at the heart of what they do. You will be joining our Surveying Team which is an integral part of our Operations directorate which includes Property Services and Homes and Communities. Reporting to the Technical Manager you will carry out surveying activities including, (but is not limited to), Stock Condition Surveys, Estate Improvements Surveys, Private Sector Leasehold inspections, Damp and Mould surveys, Fire Risk Assessments, Structural Repairs, Major Voids, Investment Works Pre and Post Inspections along with all Litigation Inspections, Fitness for Human Habitation etc.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Providing property related advice and support to customers and internal stakeholders
• Project manage various projects and ensure that A2Dominion's duties under CDM 2015 are effectively discharged.
• Oversee the management and resolution of latent defects on behalf of A2Dominion through surveys and inspections, including damp and mould, structural defects, exchanges, condition, fire safety, disabled adaptations.
• Contract management of third party consultants, regular updating of programme tracker and preparation of monthly KPIs
• Effectively respond to urgent issues, including high level complaints, at our complex buildings and schemes, ensuring that the appropriate solutions are applied and successfully delivered
• Conduct on-site pre-work and post-work inspections of responsive work streams to ensure the required standards in respect of quality, financial and works programmes are achieved,
• Respond to all third party approaches to carry out work on A2Dominion's land and/ or buildings, including TV/ Broadband upgrades and planning permission applications
• To travel as required to carry out condition inspections, risk assessments and report the findings to enable satisfactory resolution to be achieve
More about you;
• A qualification in Building Surveying or Building Construction (diploma, HNC, degree) or equivalent experience.
• Experience of working within a social housing setting
• Experience delivering improvements, and planned maintenance.
• Experience managing project budgets and contract administration.
• Experience in a range of building surveys and repairs.
• Have a track record of effective building defects diagnosis
• A methodical approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• A track record of delivering high levels of customer service
• A driving licence and vehicle is also required for business use (business mileage will be paid in line with our policy).
