About the role:
As the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing a fast growing digital payments acquiring business (FCA Registered Electronic Money Organisation). You will be responsible for delivery of a range of operational needs, most importantly with Operational Resilience and Supplier Outsorucing as well as driving Transformational Projects and Continuous Improvement of processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Resilience Framework:
- Implement and maintain the operational resilience framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assess and mitigate operational risks, developing robust contingency plans and business continuity strategies.
- Continuously monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and resilience.
Outsourcing Management:
- Oversee and manage outsourcing agreements with third-party vendors.
- Ensure vendor performance aligns with agreed-upon service levels and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency.
Transformational Projects:
- Lead and drive transformational projects aimed at improving operational processes, systems, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely execution and successful outcomes.
Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement:
- Continuously improving operational efficiency is a key responsibility.
- The Operations Manager would analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to optimize operational workflows, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
As Operations Manager, you will:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of working within operations processes for the payments or financial services organisations.
- Strong operational knowledge of outsourcing management, operational resilience frameworks processes.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing transformational projects.
- Excellent understanding of operational risk management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing and motivating team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable, familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies and guidelines in the UK payments industry (e.g., FCA, PSR) is preferred.
