Job description
Experienced Ecologist
Rivus Limited is a leading ecological engineering company delivering nature-based solutions to today's environmental challenges .We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our expanding environmental team.
Applicants should be self-starters and ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in ecological consultancy.
Minimum requirements:
• Relevant third level Degree (Level 8 or higher);
• A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within the field of ecological consultancy;
• Experience undertaking Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reporting requirements.
• Experienced in aquatic monitoring, surveying, and reporting.
• Must be comfortable, where appropriate and safe to do so, with working within water bodies to carry out aquatic surveys;
• Largely working from our Kilkenny office but willing to work in our Cork offices when required;
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office;
• QGIS mapping skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
The following would be advantageous:
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM);
• Understanding Nature Based ecological engineering solutions.
• Applicants should hold a full clean driver's license and a vehicle so they can travel for surveys.
