Recra are working in partnership with global organisation, who are a market leader In the manufacture of bespoke machinery. Our client is looking for a talented and motivated electrician to join our dynamic team.
Purpose of the Job:
As an electrician, you will play a key role in our client’s success by working on the shop-floor providing the electrical team with installation skill set.
Main Tasks/Duties and Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, modify and repair a variety of electrical systems and equipment.
- Communicate and adopt safe systems of work (RAMS)
- Determine efficient work procedures and techniques.
- Complete installation test reports and job documentation
- Ensure all tools and equipment in use is certified and/or calibrated.
- Maintain positive relationships with client representatives and other third parties.
- Undertake specialist training as required and keep up to date with statutory and legislative requirements.
- Demonstrate and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve ‘Best Practice’
- Ensuring that quality control standards are met.
- Maintaining a production schedule.
- Testing products for their functionality.
- Troubleshooting and stress-testing products to minimize problems or recalls.
- Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
- Adhering to assembly safety standards.
- Undertaking tasks to assist directed by Line manager
- Working using your initiative within agreed roles – do not wait to be asked!
- Ensure compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
- Contribute to those of the team as a whole
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility
Essential Abilities/ Competencies of this job role:
- You will need 3 years’ experience of industrial electrical installations.
- A good understanding of electrical control & safety circuits, electrical schematics, and comfortable working from P&ID/layout drawings
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Be flexible and willing to work as part of a team
- Be friendly and approachable
- Good attention to detail
- Good level of fitness
- Able to work in all weather in an outdoor environment
- Demonstrate good time management and project management skills
Benefits :
- 28 days holiday inc B/H increasing to 33 through service
- 2 x Salary – Death & service benefit
- Overtime paid at a premium
- 4% pension initially but can be matched upto 7.5%
Hours of Work:
Your usual hours will be from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday -Friday (overtime at weekend can be available).
You may be expected to work following the organisation’s overtime policies. The nature of your role will require you to travel within the area that your team covers.
