The Bradford LGBTQ+ Strategic Partnership - known locally as Equity Partnership - is an organisation that is moving to increase reach, strengthen strategic role and improve it's income generation.
What will you be doing?Current challenges for the Board are those of upgrading our marketing and fundraising strategies and planning for the future in an increasingly difficult financial culture.
We are the main organisation for Bradford Pride and have plans for a month long Festival in June.
We are looking for peope who have a lived experience of the LGBTQ+ community, especially as a Trans person or person of colour. Also someone who has experience of fundraising.
The role is as a Trustee, meetings are monthly on the 2nd Wednesday from 18.00. There are occasional subgroups Trustees may volunteer for as well as some weekend volunteering e.g. Pride.
What are we looking for?An understanding of the LGBTQ+ community, some knowledge and skills of fundraising, general understanding of the issues faced by LGBTQ+ people.
What difference will you make?As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose and work towards generating more of our own income to become less reliant on external funding.
