Off-Highway Test & Validation Engineer - Peterborough
Initial 12 month contract PAYE/ Umbrella basis
Our client is one of the biggest names in the world; with more than 100,000 employees and sales into 193 countries they are truly global; and they have just made available a unique opportunity for a Test and Development Engineer to work on their state of the art off highway machinery!
You will be involved in a variety of engine installation and test projects covering mechanical and electrical engine, to machine integration, shakedown and test. This is a broad role, which will test your mechanical and electrical system knowledge on the some of the most rated yellow goods machinery!
As Test and Validation Engineer you will;
Diagnose and fix a range of faults on both diesel engine and machine.
Effectively manage several projects simultaneously.
Work from engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic)
Produce electrical looms and drawings to interface engine and machine.
Travel to various off-site test and development facilities
Collection, analysis, and reporting of technical test data
Skills and experience to include;
Bachelor degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science or equivalent experience
Demonstrable high level of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic aptitude with a good working knowledge of engines and machines (system integration)
A good working knowledge of instrumentation and its application
Good machine/engine hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic/problem solving skills
Previous experience in use of CANape would be beneficial
