Starting salary Circa £45,000 (depending on skills and experience) with the opportunity to increase to £50,000 following training.
Full time/37 hrs a week/permanent
Location: Field-based covering the East of the Anglian Water region including Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Kings Lynn, Ipswich & Cambridge

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Anglian Water's DSEAR team, working within the central health and safety team. Come and play a major role in maintaining critical compliance within the business as an ATEX inspector.
We are seekingsomeone who will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the DSEAR (Dangerous Substance and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations) periodic inspection programme and will manage any required remedial work .
You will be completing inspection on electrical and mechanical assets located within hazardous areas which includes production and updating of subsequent records. Some immediate remedial work will be completed by you, with remedial work unable to be completed at the time being managed by yourself, delivered in house or by project management of competent contractors. In addition to the inspections and remedials, you will complete risk assessments on overall site DSEAR compliance and develop to completing area classification on lower risk assets and identify and highlight risk on our vast infrastructure networks. Other duties will also include providing technical advice regard hazardous areas, while developing, encouraging, and fostering good and safe working practices . This is a specialist yet diverse electrical role within Anglian Water with plenty of opportunity to develop and gain additional knowledge and training. What does it take to be successful?
- Fully qualified electrician
- Holds CompEx 01- 04
- ONC/OND/NVQ3 or equivalent electrical technical qualification
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at a range of levels
- Experience of electrical work in hazardous areas .
- Knowledge of the requirements of BSEN-60079-14 & 17
- Experience of EXd,EXe,EXn & EXi protection concepts
- CompEx 05 - 06 advantageous
- Full clean Driving Licence
