Design Engineer / Project Engineer / CAD Engineer required to join a leading supplier of Valves and Pumps
The Successful Design Engineer / Project Engineer / CAD Engineer will provide design and improvement to various Hydraulic and Pneumatic products.
The successful Design Engineer / Project Engineer / CAD Engineer must have a Mechanical Engineering background in hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, actuators, motors, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical-related products.

The Design Engineer / Project Engineer / CAD Engineer Role Provide design and improvement to various Hydraulic and Pneumatic products such as such as pumps, valves, actuators, motors, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical-related products.
Establish design concepts and evaluate design ideas
Using input from the design team to define suitable system architectures for custom automation equipment
Produce practical design solutions to overcome technical and manufacturing issues associated with developing new and existing pneumatic products
Considering any customer standards, and corporate standards, design and detail in circuitry (pneumatics) utilizing AutoCAD
Produce concept, layout, assembly, and detail 2D / 3D CAD drawings
Utilizing internal standards, create organized bills of material using the reporting capabilities inherent in AutoCAD.
Project management from initial design through to manufacturing
Check drawings prior to releasing to the shop and ensure they agree with design and customer requirements
Liaise with various engineering departments
The Design Engineer / Project Engineer / CAD Engineer Requirements Experience in designing within a mechanical engineering capacity such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, actuators, motors, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical-related products.
Proven experience as a Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Design & Development Engineer, Project Design Engineer, CAD Engineer or similar
Mechanical engineering qualification is advantageous
2D & 3D CAD experience
An understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Commutable to Wimborne
