Job description
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Safeguarding Officer with excellent leadership skills to support the work of the Safeguarding and Pastoral teams at EOTAS
Working with the safeguarding and pastoral teams, one of the key purposes of the role is to provide support for child protection, safeguarding and Prevent related issues. You will be a strong team player and be committed to promoting a whole college approach to safeguarding young people and their wellbeing in order to support them in achieving their outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Heads and KS Leads prioritising attendance and achievements. You will motivate students, engage parents and raise student’s aspiration in order to provide them with best opportunities and outcomes. We have high expectations in the classroom, alongside targeted pastoral support and intervention for students and families.
Your experience and skill set will determine which site you will be based. We are developing leadership across EOTAS.
The ideal candidate will have experience with working with young people, have excellent interpersonal skills and have experience in completing administrative tasks. We are looking for an individual who has experience of working effectively with children and young people in a learning environment and an awareness of child protection issues. EOTAS is made up of 3 unique Colleges with sites across Swindon. Each College has a unique client group but all have the common goal – supporting young people and their families through challenging circumstances in order for them to achieve and move on to positive destinations.
