Graduate Events Assistant

Membership Body

2 Days Central London Office, 3 Days Home PLUS travel

Basic Salary Up to £25,500 with benefits including 27 Days Holiday & TOIL system

Full Time, Permanent

Our client a well-respected and reputable membership body based in Central London is currently looking for a Graduate Events Assistant.

The Graduate Events Assistant Role

The purpose of this role is to support the Outreach/Membership team in providing effective administrative support and support the delivery of local activities.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

Engagement, recruitment, retention of members

Provide administrative support for local societies and their events and activities

Provide administrative support for England representation at regional and national conferences

Represent the College at events and exhibitions, building networking opportunities and business partnerships

Support the Outreach Manager and Outreach Officer with the delivery of key careers activities including the national skills competition, Future Forum, and school and college workshops

Supporting local and national governance

Arrange and provide administrative support for the Regional Committee and Regional Boards meetings

Support the organisation of events, meeting and inductions for the South hub and local representatives, e.g. Regional Directors

Maintain accurate records of key contacts on the England CRM database

Provide support in establishing networks and relationships locally

Liaising with support services (e.g. IT, finance) and collaborating with the wider Membership, Marketing and Communications and Outreach (North, Midlands and Scotland) teams to ensure there is appropriate support for regional stakeholders

Experience & Qualifications

A demonstrable achievement in a support, outreach or engagement role

Working collaboratively with senior colleagues and dealing with internal and external stakeholders

Working collaboratively and flexibly across teams

The discretion to handle confidential or sensitive information appropriately in line with high standards of information governance

Experience of establishing and maintaining administrative records

Experience of arranging and managing events/meetings/committees

Experience of coordinating projects to agreed timescales and budget

Using information systems to obtain and disseminate information

A good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Teams)

GCSE English and Maths or equivalent

Desirable

Content Management Systems (CMS) experience

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/database experience

Previous experience of supporting a Board/ high-level Committee(s)
